TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CANCELLED LESSONS AND MAKE UP LESSONS
LESSONS MUST BE CANCELLED BY CONTACTING THE TEACHER DIRECTLY.
1. Please contact your teacher using the contact information provided by your teacher and/or in your parent portal, My Music Staff.
2. Any cancellations made via the general administration email address will NOT be guaranteed a make up lesson where applicable.
3. Students registered for Summer 2025 (July 2025-August 2026) are eligible for 1 make up lesson over the course of the 2 month term, providing 24 hours notice of cancellation is given to the teacher.
4. Students registered for September 2025-June 2026 are eligible for 2 make up lessons per semester, providing 24 hours notice of cancellation is given to the teacher.
5. All cancellations due to illness MUST BE made by 10:00am.
6. Private lessons cancelled with LESS THAN 24 hours advance notice will NOT be made up by the teacher and will be considered forfeited. Refunds will NOT be issued for such lessons.
7. Any lesson or class cancelled by Pluckd Studio due to inclement weather, illness, professional/personal obligations will be made up without penalty to the student.
8. Missed make up lessons are NOT subject to another make up lesson.
9. Any lesson cancelled by the teacher will be made up without penalty to the student.
10. Make up lessons that are NOT completed by December 19th, 2025 for the first semester and June 25th, 2026 are considered FORFEITED.
11. Group lessons missed by students will NOT be made up.
12. TWO opportunities will be offered for each make up lesson. IF both are refused, the make up lessons is considered FORFEITED.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE FOR EXCEEDING THE TWO LESSON PER SEMESTER LIMIT!
LATENESS
If a student is MORE THAN 15 minutes late, the teacher is no longer obligated to wait and may leave for a break or head home early and the lesson is FORFEITED. However, if notice is given directly to the teacher via phone/text or email that lateness is expected a teacher will wait as long as needed. Note that the teacher cannot extend the lesson past the agreed upon weekly timeframe.
SNOW DAYS/INCLEMENT WEATHER
On the occasion where it is deemed unsafe to hold in person lessons as determined by Pluckd Studio students will be contacted by email and all missed classes will be rescheduled. As this is highly inconvenient, such action is only taken on the most severe weather (i.e. some snow or heavy rain).
SUBSTITUE TEACHERS
Pluckd Studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher while a regular teacher is ill or away. Teachers at our school work hard to minimize such absences. When one cannot be avoided, a substitute teacher may be provided as approved by the director. Experience has shown that occasional exposure to a different teacher is often beneficial to a child. When a substitute teacher cannot be found in time students will be contacted by email and will have their lessons cancelled and rescheduled. This will not count towards a student’s allowed make up lessons.
TERMINATION OF ENROLLMENT
Pluckd Studio reserves the right to immediately cancel the enrollment of any student or family for reasons of disruptive behavior, aggressive communication, inappropriate conduct by student and/or parent, frequent absences, repeated late payments, or other reasons at the sole discretion of Pluckd Studio. In such rare cases, remaining tuition if applicable will be reduced and an administrative fee of $100 would apply.
REFUNDS FOR PRIVATE LESSONS, GROUP CLASSES AND ENSEMBLES
1. Registration Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
2. No Credit or Refund will be issues after the fourth week of classes except in cases of prolonged illness.
3. IF a student withdraws BEFORE the first lesson/class, tuition will be fully refunded.
4. Credit MAY be issued towards future lessons and/or classes IF a student withdraws by the fourth week of the semester on a pro-rated basis.
5. No Refunds will be issued AFTER the first lesson or class.
