Yura Jang is a highly accomplished pianist currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at the prestigious Mannes School of Music in New York City. A graduate of the University of Seoul, South Korea, with a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance, Yura has built an impressive career in both performance and education. Yura has performed at renowned venues including Steinway Hall, the German Consulate General in New York, and WQXR, showcasing her versatility through opera productions, chamber music concerts, and competitions. Her artistry and technical precision recently earned her the Grand Prize at the UK International Music Competition 2024. An active member of New York's vibrant music community, Yura collaborates with vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles across genres, from classical to contemporary works. She also serves as a pianist and coach at Mannes Prep School, mentoring young talents and shaping the next generation of musicians. Yura’s commitment to the transformative power of music is evident in her dedication to education, competitions, and live performances. Her journey exemplifies resilience, creativity, and a passion for connecting people through music.
